"Sometimes I wonder about my life. I lead a small life - well, valuable, but small - and sometimes I wonder, do I do it because I like it, or because I haven't been brave? So much of what I see reminds me of something I read in a book, when shouldn't it be the other way around? I don't really want an answer. I just want to send this cosmic question out into the void. So good night, dear void." - Kathleen Kelly:"You've got mail".

Ciao & Welcome!

Greetings friends of Gogo and welcome to my all new and updated blog:  Gogo's Treat!

The original blog: "I Viaggi di Gogo"

I decided to launch this blog as a way to add my personal take to the many of those existing online, only with a twist: a more laid-back/ tourist relevant opinion that can vary from one person to the next. Here at Gogostreat, we will not tell you what is good for you or not. Only you know that. We will not throw top-ten lists at you either. Instead, we will show you everything you need to see and hear before making an informed decision. From pictures, back-stories, to even menu suggestions, we will help you and decide for yourself what is the place worthy to be called your favorite in the world.

This blog is a recreation of a previous blog named I Viaggi di Gogo, that I opened in 2011. "I Viaggi di Gogo" a.k.a Gogo's trips ran for four years, with proudly around 20 thousand follower/visitors, every month -- thank you to all my followers!

Feel welcome to  check out all my old post by clicking this link: http://www.gogostreat.wordpress.com/

Note to reader: older posts are all in Italian.

Additional Note: New blog posts are now available in English & Italian.

Sound Familiar?

Very often, during my travels, I find myself relying heavily on the internet as my primary go-to source when it comes to scouting the next great restaurant, hotel, club, etc...

You barely have any time between all those sights you need to see  and you need someone to help you figure out the best place to have your next great meal or recreational activity. Unfortunately, not every goto source tends to be worthy of its label. This is particularly the case when it comes to the general lack of experience and objectivity associated with the feedback you find in today's travel websites. Let's put it this way... I think we can all agree that a cozy family experience and an intimate romantic trattoria can both be labeled as great spots. But are they same experiences? The answer is most certainly not.

Why the title: "Treat Yo' Self"?

Aptly named after the humorous "lifestyle concept", first introduced to me in the popular American Television Sit-Com: "Parks&Recreation"

As seen in the video at the bottom of this page: Tom and Donna introduce us to their hilariously entertaining,  annual "Treat yo' self" spa and shopping excursion.

Clip from: " Parks and recreation". Ep4Season 4. Episode title: "Pawnee Rangers".

Gogo's mission: Message to my readers...

Like our friends, Tom and Donna, here at Gogo's treat, we strive to turn this beautiful concept from just a funny sketch to a lifestyle that is not only  celebrated annually but whenever you, our dear follower, just feel like going that little extra mile for yourself! After all, isn't that what life is all about? Enjoying the little moments.

So join us at with your questions, suggestions and conversation's right here on Gogo's Streat, as we tour the world in search of the hottest spots it has to offer. Celebrating and applying our philosophy to my three favorite passions: Food, cinema and travel! Who knows? maybe we could even help you find the inspiration for your next destination!

Treat yourself Now!

Sincerely,

Gogo
